Default Maxford USA PT-17

My birthday present arrived this evening - an ARF Maxford USA PT-17 Kaydet. I am very impressed with the quality of the components. Packaging was very well done. Everything arrived intact. The outer box was a heavy grade cardboard and the inner box was "typical" cardboard. everything was bagged and taped securely. I'm very happy with this purchase, so far!

Sweet! Have fun assembling it! I get to see one of these (Full scale) flying around the nearby airport. Classic plane! Oh, and happy birthday!

Teach,
That thing looks SWEET very jealouse I have not seen or heard of this brand before so I am very interested in how this plane works out for ya. From the pictures I have seen of it looks very detailed and a very nice price as well. cant wait to see and read more on this one

Happy flying may your crashes be limited and if they are not limited let them be cool.

I get the "you have to wait," from the wife a lot, too. Today I was told I have to wait to order the power and electronics for the Stearman.

Thanks, Stuart. I plan to improve the looks of the dummy radial engine. That is really the weak point of this model. Also, I chose not to purchase the instrument panel and pilot upgrades. I'm going to make my own panels. I figure I can buy a pilot anywhere. The upgrade prices were very steep.

Actually my daughter called me at work last week asking me what the heck did I order now, because a huge box was at the house. By the time I got home my wife had taken the box and told me I couldn't have it till XMAS!
She told me I am going to love it.

Maxford makes some really nice models, I saw this one at the Raw show last year. Very tempting. I had they BGY and it flow nicely. If I didn't already have the E flite I'd be all over this one. good luck Jimmy
