I like the way the bottom of the wing looks as it is in the photo and the Black pin stripe sets it all off perfectly IMO

Great build Paul

Paul she looks beautiful all decorated up!
You have the patience of a saint hand cutting all the squares out and sticking them on. I know that takes a while to do.
Do you remember that little plane you maiden for me with all the white squiggles on it my eyes were going buggy after a while putting them on.

Well your on the home stretch now just need to get the electronics setup and set the throws, and away she will go.

I only did the left side of the fuselage, my eyes were going buggy too.
I'll finish the pin striping tomorrow and I hope to have the fiddly bits done next week.

Getting ready for the next big project. Four Aeromasters at once.
Then I'm not building anything for anyone, anymore.

WOW, 4 Aeromasters at once, that would make anyone swear off of building for others for sure I would think
Will you be doing any of them as build threads?

Today is the first day in a week that I've felt like going out to the shop to work on anything but the rest sure did my legs & ribs a world of good
Now if I just don't try to over do anything

Hi John, I finished all the pin striping and trim work.
All that's left now is to finish installing the hardware, and fly it.

I won't be doing a build thread on the Aeromaster's.
Two of them will be structure only, no equipment of covering.
One will be glow powered, OS 95.
One will be electric for me.
Once I start these, I want to get as much done as fast as possible before I run out of ambition. As usual the one for me will be the last one to be finished.

Paul I just did a goggle search on the aeromaster I didn't realize they were biplanes. Yes that is real ambitious and generous of you to build them.

Good time to teach the wife how to glue ribs to the spars, and let her make the wings for ya. Leaving you to do the fuselage's to assemble.
Have fun with building these you won't want to see balsa when your done with these for a while.

she's a real beauty paul!!!!!truly a beautiful job done and will look the same way in the air as she does on the ground. when you finnish a aeromaster,do post a picture. we'd love to see it. four at once!! i'm happy doing one at a time and even then i'v slowed down quit a bit on building. to many birds in the hanger not getting air time as the favorites always go to the field.[heck, there all favorites].

narrow is the place to land...wide is the space to crash....choose the narrow way!

The landing gear is on and the servos are all mounted. All that has to be done is the pushrods and balance the plane.

Stuart I will post some pictures of the Aeromasters, just not a complete build thread.

I'll post the final pictures of the Astro Hog next week when we get some sunshine.

Thanks everyone for the kind words and encouragement.

I made a mistake while making the pushrods.

I grabbed some GP clevises instead of the DuBro by mistake.
The DuBro ones are made to be soldered on to the wire, the GP ones aren't.
They look almost the same.
Easy enough to fix.

Good luck with the maiden.

Wow Paul, what a fabulous finish you have achieved. You've built a superb model.
Wish I could see the maiden, it'll look as good in the air as it does on the bench.

Paul,

You did an outstanding job on your 'Hog! And a great build thread as well. You sure did make the process look easy and your tips and advice along the way should help out a lot of people.

Very nicely done and thanks for participating build clinic.
