Hi George Put the batteries in your pant pockets untill your ready to use them, Make Darn good and sure there are no keys in your pockets or they can short out your lipo Ask me How i Know Chellie had hot Pants one Day with a 1300mah lipo that the keys shorted it out yea, I am Really Blonde LOL

Not a problem for me, i fly in the yard so i am out the back door,fly for a few minutes,
back in the house for a recharge and warm up.
I fly all winter as long as it is not too windy.
I plow the yard with my snow plow to keep a place to land.

Yesterday it was in the low 40s here and I filled two plastic water bottles with hot from the tap, put them in the bottom of a "six-pack" size cooler, and put all the batteries in there. They were toasty warm to the end (~three hours later).

+1 - I would have even paid to seen that ! Would have even put on white loafers and worn a leisure suit and brought a stack of dollar bills- LOL. Have not heard the term "Hot Pants" in a while . Making a comeback?

I don't think I will try that with my luck ?!?
I would maybe keep the bat. in my coat pocket the one on the inside would most likely be a good bet to keep them going till used ?
I don't carry my keys in my pocket because I have to many and I have a pocket
knife on the keyclip so I keep them on my beltloop or in the outside coat pocket !
I don't know why I did not do that the last time I tryed to fly in the winter time ?

I got Lucky Only smoke came out of the Lipo, and i got the lipo out of my Pocket real real quick

Yea i have a full head of hair to ,some of it grey but i also have new gray hair comming out of my ears now. I started building my foam canard stick the bigger one here was 60 inch wing span and a 60 nitro and i shrunk it down to a 38 inch wing span with a 1600 kv motor .I should have it done soon and see how it flys. BTW i have the plans for a free download of the bigger balsa one if anyone wants them . joe

I don't like the cold guys so I just build planes and stay inside in the warm house, I might try to build a miniturevillage this Winter just to keep up mt graymatter on a different media !?
That is if I still have any graymatter left yet ??

Ok did the maiden and it went like clockwork. Also while dressed for the maiden i flew
my newly built Sportster and that went well also. Now i am charging up for a flight with
my newly built Ultimate Bipe. Wind is not too bad this morning for a change.

It has been a fun build, I really do not like the finishing stagevas I am not too clever with colours and schemes, in fact,what I have done is sort of used the colour scheme from the British Airways verticle stabiliser livery from the 90's

I found the link to the plans at parkjets.com the design is by Steve Shumate, I think he has about 14 different plans and I don't think there is a bad one amongst them.

If you have difficulties finding parkjets.com please let me know and I will forward more info to you, I really doubt that you will have trouble finding them.

This flies great from grass, water and snow. snow I know nothing about
