This looks pretty cool. How hard is it to fly compared to a CP Heli?

I'd put it in between a Blade mCX2 and maybe the mSR. It hovers nice and easy, like a mini coax. But it's very fast and responsive. I haven't put it up to much in my basement, but other guys are flipping and rolling them with no problem.
Gently flying around inside, I'm getting 10 minutes+ on the stock battery. And, of course, it's got enough power to carry a little keychain camera around. I'm contemplating adding some LED lights for night flyin'... |

I got the BNF version and am flying it with my DX6i. Here's another video from today. I tried to fly it outside but the 16MPH winds made it pretty much impossible, so I moved it inside.

Just getting a handle on this thing too. Flies sort of between a plane and a heli. Just trying loops outside. I can get about 3 crude ones before I trash it. Have to say, it's one tough little lady. Handles a decent wind too. Another learning curve.
Great videos M Clarkson. I have a Flycam 1 but havn't tried to lift it yet.

I've been practicing smooth and steady and haven't had the courage to try any flips, rolls, loops and whatnot. I fly almost exclusively in my house, though, and there ain't much room in here for aerobatics.
The first third on this video is onboard my mQX. I think my props are getting a tad out of balance, as the vibration gets a bit worse as time goes by, but it's still a heckuva lotta fun. |

You can see 10 miles in every direction, and there's not a single landmark in view, anywhere.Great Plains FTW! |

The mQX is an excellent flier, IMHO. Feels like a flying car when piloting it, and makes a great orientation trainer for those getting into helis.
I swap between the mQX and mCP-X to give the motors a chance to cool down and hopefully last longer. |

The Blade mQX is fun! but the stock canopy is what? doesn't cut it for me. I think it looks better as a UFO.

Hi, first post here, normally I frequent RCG. I've been flying a mQX for about 3 weeks now and I really enjoy it. I have some fairly limited heli experience with a FP, coax, and an early Draganflyer, but the mQX is definitely head and shoulders above any heli experience I've had previously. Really a great flying little machine!
I've already experimented with adding LEDs for night flying, as well as carrying my 808 #16 keyfob cam. It did both well, but you definitely notice if you add too much extra weight. It's not that it flies bad, it just loses that light, nimble feeling that makes it so special. Anyways, for me, it's a great little flyer and something I'm really glad to have ![]() A couple of videos for anyone interested: http://vimeo.com/36260007 http://vimeo.com/36468363 Steve |

I pick up a new lid every now and then. I've got a whole family now. Which one I fly depends on my mood.

I bought one as a "first" heli- looking forward to seeing how well I do with it. I think the canopy should be changed myself.

I just purchased the RTF version of this from Red Rocket Hobbies. They were selling for the same pric HH was selling on sale. I am thinking it will be something to kinda play with here during my deployment. I will let you know what I can do with it when it arrives. Dont think I will be doing to many tricks with it since I have 0 experience with quad copters I did download one for my Realflight Simulator but, well lets just say thank goodness for the resert button.

Mine came today and I got her up fairly easily. Definitely a learning curve but I think in time I will get the hang of it. I am not sure how to trim it however but should make for some fun. I may have a 40 second video of me flying it but dont know if my friend can send it via email or not will see. This little bugger seems like a lot of fun I should have bought another battery.
