Does anyone know where to find one of these? Should I just contact a well-known site and place a backordered order and wait? Thanks in advance for any help! |

Thanks, but that's not it. That one goes from a computer USB to an AS3X board to program it. I'm looking for one from the tx to a USB port to use for a flight sim. I should have been more clear.

Wow! An octopus! Actually, I guess whatever works so I could just plug my Dx6i or Dx8 into my computer for use with RC Desk Pilot until I collect enough funds and decide to get RealFlight.
I was looking for something like this: http://www.horizonhobby.com/products...-jr-GWSFSM002B But you see it says no longer available. But you can find a bunch for Futaba and others. |

The one I have pictured is a universal that is supposed to work with pretty much every TX that has a port for a SIM or buddy box. Only draw back is you must use Phoenix SIM.

Not sure what the problem is. There are usually about a million of them for sale on EBay and they're dirt cheap. I've bought several for various people and never had any problems with them. Just search for "USB simulator cable".

Thanks, Slipstick! I did search there, but always added JR/Spektrum to the search. And I'm not a huge E-Bay fan, either. Been burned before. I might have seen those things like came up with your suggested search, but shyed away from those Chinese copycat packages that look like they come with pirated software, not to mention some items I found that said were JR compatible had reviews that said they weren't. Guess it's the only game in town...
Thanks for the search tip. The order is in. I'll see what I get. |

I have this one from Tom's RC
http://shop.tomsrc.com/product_info....roducts_id=261 I have the one with the JR plug. I use it with ClearView on a Vista Machine with my DX7. I needed a mix of throttle to another channel (aux or flaps, I don't remember which) to see the throttle input, but it works fine. Steve |

You didn't mention in the 3 identical posts you made which tx and connector you're using. That might help someone help you. Though you might get more help with that in a thread titled more appropriately, as someone who actually owns that sim might skip this one. I was looking at it for a future purchase, but luckily, my LHS got side by side demos of both Phoenix and RF, and to me, while they both look nice, RF was much better, so I quit learning about Phoenix then. In Phoenix it didn't feel like the planes had any mass to them, they just moved as you moved the stick. More 'video-gamey' than simulator. That's how it felt to me, anyway.
But if you don't have luck here, have you tried over at RCG? RCG - Simulators Good luck! |
