Good flight then my 300 X went down

The flight after this video my motor blew up in flight. That would have made a good video. Lost power and dropped like a brick making a lot of noise. I was doing some tic tocs and I thought the main shaft broke. Took it apart and the bottom motor bearing is gone.

Buddy of mine just had similar incident. Motor started screaming (noise) and he started to land. About 2 feet up the motor locked up and it landed a little hard. Stripped main is all the damage. "Opportunity for upgrade".

I have a new motor coming from HH but also looking at Scorpions

I know it's been a while but...About how many flights did you have on your 300X before the motor let go? I haven't been keeping track of flights, but mine seems to be holding up so far. I actually did have a mainshaft fail on mine - it was a bit scary because I just spent the battery showing it off with some mild 3D for a few friends and as I was getting ready to set it down, the shaft let go about 4' up and about 10' from me just on the other side of the safety fence. Not a good feeling to lose directional control of a flying cuisinart that close to you......amazingly, nothing else, not even the main blades, was damaged since I got it down pretty level in the tall weeds.
