It looks really cool. Here's mine a couple of days ago, 15-18MPH winds. It ended ... badly.

When I had just the single wing on it, I had a problem with my motor mounts coming undone, using a 8mm tube type mount. I was getting sick of the motor falling out, usually under wot and either breaking the fuse, or pulling the wires out of the motor. I spent several hours taking apart motors trying to peice a "new" one together using old parts, and decided I was going to fly it no matter what.

Took it out, was able to control it, but the wind was really throwing it around, like in your video. I didn't have enough down elevator in it to over come the pitchup from the wind, so I was using wot and full down elevator to get it close to the ground. Just before I touched down(and it was touchy getting it there btw), the wing ripped from the end of the tape on the rear fiberglass support for the wingb at about a 45 degree angle all the way to the tip of the leading edge, and spirialled out of control, getting caught on the soccer goal post.

Afterwords, I added some kite bracing from a kite my kid broke to prevent the wings from stretching and flexing. Added a good bit of weight, but made the wing much stronger. I could do wot outside loops, continuous loops, and wot dives with a last second pull out without worring about the wing. Made it a much better windy flyier.

The bipe wing kit is a blast, if you like flying backwards. However, the wind catches it more then twice as bad, and you loose all of your top end.. its also so draggy that what used to be vertical (about 1/2 throttle) is now just what it takes to overcome drag for regular flying. I have not tried taking off one wing yet to see how it flys with only one wing though. I'll bet it flies just as good as a regular slow stick this way though.

I had a good outing this morning. It was about 42 f and totally overcast (and a little foggy), but there was virtually no wind. Nobody else was at the field, so I practiced touch-and-go landings and low altitude passes most of the time. I had ten batteries worth of fun

Had some flying weather this morning for a couple of flights with the Ultimate Bipe.
She is a nice flying machine and i enjoy flying her. I am in a small flying area here so
i have to be careful of the Jackpines so i need a highly maneuverable plane and the
UB is excellent. It is almost as good at it as the Infineon Bipe but doesn't quite slow
down as much.

Had another great outing today! 45 degrees f but no wind at all. Did more low altitude, high speed pass practice... screwed up at one point - went down instead of up, five feet up, and plowed straight in . Broke both blades off the prop and separated the wing from the fuselage, but it glued right back up this evening! These $Tree foamies are strong .

There was one other club member present and he had a plane he built 50 years ago, recently resurrected with new radio stuff, and the addition of an elevator in addition to the original rudder. I don't know what the name of it is, but it was a small (perhaps 24" span) thing with a Cox .020 engine. I hand launched it for him for the first flight. It flew great! The built in fuel tank only gives about 3 minutes run time, so you gain altitude as fast as possible and then most of the flight is gliding. He had a blast flying it, and I felt kinda honored to witness it .

What a great hobby!

You were not kidding ! Your 50-60's have made their way down yonder ! But they are calling for 5-10 on Friday. There's hope...

Well it looks like i might get to play with the SF (Snow Flyer) today.
The white stuff is coming down right now and they are predicting some accumulation
for today and tomorrow. If i want to land anything other than the SF i will have to plow
the yard.

Got some flying in. Me and my dad both took out our slow sticks. It was too windy to be fun, and my dads slow stick kept pulling off the retainer clip for the rudder. He managed to land down wind with no rudder, but called it a day after that.

I threw up my bipe against my better judgement and had a blast. Close to 20mph gusts made it very interesting, using quite a bit of throttle. Did quite a few scale take offs and touch and goes, looked like the plane was barely moving despite wot. Had a lot of fun, no proken props, but a few touchy landings and ground loops. Wind kept changing direction, which made things harder then they had to be.

I also ripped the end off the bottom wing off at the "aleroin" cutout on thebottom wing, and broke the bottom wing all the way through. Still flew well despite this. Gotta see if I can dig out the box tape to make repairs. Had a blast though. The 45 degree temps felt like about 20mph with all the wing. I ended my flight with lvc at about 30 mins on a 2200 3cell. Noticed that my motor mount is broken as well. Crazy how I can break a motor mount without damaging the prop or motor. Oh well, good excuse for a trip to the hobby shop and harbor freight afterwords.

It was a good day. I suspect tomorrow will be much better.

Today was a good flying day. World did not end and it is the first day of winter. Weather was-- no wind and temps in the 60's.

Were fairly warm and no wind. My dad fell asleep, working graveyards this week. And I left the chargers in his room. So no flying today, but tomorrow is looking up, and I'll have my repairs done and ready to fly tomorrow.

Too windy for me and i haven't finished my snow plowing yet either.

Ok logged some flying this morning. First with the SF and then with the Foker D7
Had a good time with the SF flying and landing and running on the ice.
Then i tryed to fly the Foker and it was quite windy so that was a bumpy ride.
Then just as i decided to land it a gust of wind caught it and slammed it to the ice.
Knocked the motor loose but no other damage.
Guess that's all folks

Cold but a good morning to fly so far.
Flew my Sportster for a batt. and then flew the new P-51 and got her tweaked.
Then had some fun with the Snow Flyer taking off on the ice and landing and taking off etc. I have to make some improvement on the toons though they catch on the bits of ice a little bit when i ROG.
