Other than the obvious I'm really liking what I see so far. Ought to handle the Kansas wind pretty fair and still look good doing it. I like scale ![]() All I've got left, after a full night of work, is the ailerons, flaps and decals Here is my bald 182 next to my Corgi for size comparison.

Got her ready to fly but I don't think I'll push it with 30 MPH winds. Here is the finished product. Makes my Dynam 51" look small.

how heavy is this plane? i have an apprentice, and it's kinda light for windy days it seems. i've only flown in maybe 10mph winds and it did well, just made me nervous.
really like how well the plane looks all stickered up. let us know how it actually flies!! |

Let me know if these pictures don't show what you're after.
![]() ![]() ![]()
I was really hoping to get to fly the new plane this weekend but it's not looking so good. I'm the Network Administrator for our local hospital and I've got some people doing some remediation on my network closets and they tell me they need to take my main closet(MDF) down. The only way I can let them do that is on a weekend and they chose this Saturday and Sunday from 4:00 AM to 4:00 PM both days. I've got to be there the entire time. Unless the wind dies down after 4:00 PM, which doesn't happen very often, I'm out of luck till next weekend. |

I used the screws that looked closets to a perfect fit. Not the longest but the second to the longest. The instructions leave much to be desired. I saw on a video where some poor guy lost the wings during a turn and it made me think about the wing struts. You notice the instructions say nothing about gluing the wing struts? I suggest you had better if you haven't. That is why that guy lost his and I took mine up for its maiden fly last night and it came back missing a wing strut. Now I've got to find and place to buy a new wing strut for mine.

Be happy to get you some picture a little later. It's 17 degrees out there right now and my Lanyu is in the garage. Mine didn't work at first either but after checking all the connections they started working.

Let me know if you need a particular picture.
Here is one showing where the LED module is mounted. ![]() Closeup ![]() ![]() As I said mine didn't work at first. I pulled the module out and double checked all the connections and then it started working. |

Those wires connect to the JST/charging cable on your battery/LiPo. So you battery actually has both wires connected. One connected to your receiver and the other(charging cable) to the LED module.

Nice build DC ! I have the Airfield C182 and never really liked it. It's one of my Hangar Queens now.
Can't wait to get back to DFW so I can re-unite with my Squadron. I'm sure they have missed me ! LOL Cheers, Hawk |

Have you purchased additional batteries for this plane? If so, what size and brand. Also, can you tell me how the wires from the motor (red, black, yellow) connect to ESC (red, black, blue). I read somewhere it is not (red to red, black to black & blue to yellow) .Thanks
