Is kcam heli friendly???
Is kcam a heli friendly club??
I pulled up to the club field one Saturday last summer. The parking area was full as was pit and flight line. I did Not see one Heli there. So are Helis welcome at kcam? Regards,Robert |

They are not anti heli. Most of the members are just not familiar with helis. They do not know what to do with helis as far as pit issues and flying when fixed wing aircraft are up too. You could help change that. When I joined the club just over a year ago I was basically the only electric there. Today, a number of the guys have added electrics to their hangers. I believe I am still the only all electric flier their, but am accepted just as any other member. Speaking for my self, I would love to see a few competent heli guys join. I would like to get into helis again. I tried a while back (before joining KCAM), but had no one help me learn helis. Had a CX2. Tried my hand at a 450 class bird and quickly realized I was in over my head. Went with an MRS after that. |

Had a blast flying today. Did a bunch of touch and goes with the roll out being almost full runway length! One of the guys yelled out "it's a plane, not a car!"

Saturday, 4 May, KCAM will have a display at Old Dover Days in Downtown Dover. The following day,weather permitting, a number of us plan to be out at the field. Come check us out.
