Anyone familiar with the AS-W15 sailplane kit?

I purchased some tools, misc. parts and 3 kits from a gentleman selling his RC inventory, today. One of the kits is an AS-W15 sailplane manufactured by Astro Flight, Inc. The kit appears to be from the late 1970's or early 1980's. The original bill of sale is dated 1982.

The fuselage is molded ABS plastic. Wingspan is 100". I'm just looking for general impressions of the sailplane. I haven't found a tremendous amount of info on the internet.

As you say there is not much info although it did appear quite popular at the time. Just the odd Ebay sale in the past.

This guy liked his original so much he redrew it with a built up fuselage.

All the current info appears to be for the Robbe semi scale version.

Thanks, quorneng. Yep, info is short, but no worries! This kit looks super easy to build. I've been wanting a true sailplane for a while now. I think one with an 8'-4" wingspan is a good place to start!

I just noticed that the picture from that old Ebay item is the same as was used on the original Astro Flight box!

Yep, that's the pic on my box. Very late 70's!
