Went to our LHS today, and he had these on sale for 80 bucks RTF, so I figured I'd grab one, first multirotor ANYTHING I've ever owned or flown. Within 10 minutes I was buzzing around the kitchen, and once I got around what seemed to me to be a bit of a squirrely bird, it was actually EASIER to fly it than most of my standard helicopters...this things a HOOT! I've been told by others that they do pretty well in windy stuff, so if it ain't snowing tomorrow, me and Sonny Boy are gonna grab up the helicraft and go to the soccer field, see what this thing'll do!

I have only flown mine in the backyard, but it is very cool. I get lost when it gets behind me and save it by cutting power. Some of my students tried it and they were awful, too much X Boxing on the controller. One girl flew it steady for a few seconds.

Once I got used to the stock transmitter, I just can't believe how rock steady this thing is in a hover, I daresay I could mount my 808 keycam on it for aerial stuff. I saw a video where someone did do that with the Ladybug quad, and they're about the same size, so I see no reason why it can't be done with this, just gotta make sure it's smack-dab in the middle for C.G., we shall see...

I was toying with making it more kid friendly and came up with this idea from watching a youtube video. It is foam board (BP Hobbies) and seems to work very well, I used servo tape to stick it on.

Wow, that's actually a good idea for in-house flying...hmm...

Yes that was the idea. Think of a classroom full of chair and table legs.
