The big gaseous ball of fire in the sky caused momentary blindness. This coupled with some overcorrection and a wee bit of dumb thumb created an ugly noise as my plane went thru a cornfield. Not a total loss, pride is the most bruised.

Totally destroyed my 300 Extra today when I was distracted by a low flying balloon and lost orientation. It was low enough that I carried on a conversation with the people in the balloon. Ended up going home rather than flying any more. Just too much traffic in the air today--at least a dozen balloons.

2 crashes in one day. First crash was my daughter knocked over the stand I keep the plane own & it broke the wing & wing struts. I glued & taped them. Then went to a park to fly. The plane was unstable flying I don't think I have enough weight in the nose.

That last part in slow-mo is awesome. I think the prop cartwheeling through the air is pretty much on the money!

First crash of 2013! Trying to fly my UM T-28 under a volleyball net on the beach at 7AM! Gotta rebuild the nose.....again. Good day for flying, no wind. Not too cold.
mclarkson Video note: There are alot of "Crashes" I would classify as rough landing. Especially that jet that "landed" vertically. |

I'm either going to get good at flying em, or get good at fixin em!

My trouble is that's what makes me think those Tom Cruise thoughts about buzzing the tower!

Chelster,
I'm building a scratch edf airliner from pieces and parts. As I've progressed in the build I'm now grossly tail heavy. In adding ballast to the nose, just to get it reasonably balanced, my thought is I need power to overcome the built in deficieny I've created. Twin 66mm edf's . |
