i don't own a gun,but guns aren't the problem.....it's people. people are getting mentally sicker everyday and these horrors are going to get worse.

Terrible. The 1st thought that flashed in my mind when I heard the news was my 5 year old Grand Daughters little pretty little face. She just started school this year.

I know it happens elsewhere, but with no where near the frequency it does in the U.S. Gun laws will do nothing except disarm the law abiding public, and there is no way you can predict what someone will do with any kind of certainty. I live in one of the safest places on the planet, but we had a massacre here at a tourist resort some years back, and people still try and put sense to it. I don't think there is any.

say a prayer for all the responders also to this attack.....how one goes home with all the memories of the things they had to see and record and clean up. some how Christmas isn't going to be the same just knowing the many affected by all this. now the news will be posting pictures of the children. my heart acks for all the community in Connecticut.

This was sickness to a depraved level that I can't begin to comprehend. I'm a parent and a public school teacher. God willing, I will never face this. But, if I do, God give me the strength to protect my students.

I can't begin to fathom the depth of this tragedy to all involved, but our hearts and prayers are with you here in Canada. Flags across the country are at half mast, including the largest flag in the world, in respect and sympathy for your loss. I took the attached photo of the giant flag this afternoon:

The side effects are well documented.
We are starting millions of kids on a path to destruction at less than the age of 5 in many cases.If you look at the statistics 20% of kids by the time they are in high school are on some kind of long term medication simply for exhibiting symptoms of "being a kid".

If you have half a brain left its not too hard to research the "lesser side effects" and "long term side effects" of this approach to parenting.If your not sure what "mania" and "psychosis" lead to your fooling yourself.

Do a little more research into these "unthinkable tragedies" and you will find with possibly one exception that every one of these cases directly leads back to the side effects of being "legally medicated".
Exactly where does the responsibility for the true tragedy lay?

Firearms are in no way any more responsible for what is happening than an automobile is responsible for Drunk Driving or that the sun is responsible for blindness if you stare into it.

WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!

This entire situation is not confined to a few well publicized tragic events.There are 100s of thousands of them if not millions of them developing right outside your door or possibly right in your own living room yet we continue to blame inanimate objects for the actions of a psychotic maniac (look up definition if necessary) and the unwillingness to focus on the true nature and scope of the situation.

My heart goes out to all who are caught in this horrible trap.There are some huge deceptions going on.HUGE.

While there are likely many who will condemn me and try to make this a political or religious issue nothing is further from the truth.This is a social issue.The sooner we pull off the blinders and discuss it openly the sooner we may have any chance of a sensible solution.Another "magic pill" will not cure our ills.
