Something to aspire to once I get the 40 up. Weather is not cooperating. 15+ winds all week.

Had a pulse 40 nitro for a long time. Very nice plane to fly, real forgiving and docile. I learned loops and rolls and stall turns on that plane. I kept the wing two piece and it was easy to carry around in the trunk of the car for impromptu flying sessions. A bad landing after a deadstick finally killed it. The fuse broke right behind the wing.
If I were to do one again I'd go electric. I would keep it light as possible and not over power it. IMHO it's a sport plane that flys well on the wing and not a 3d plane. |

Had a Pulse 40 with a Himax 50 in it. Flew great but didn't roll all that fast. I cut the outer wing panel off and put the wingtips back on the outer ribs. Did much better aerobatics. Didn't affect the landing speed at all as it has a lot of wing area to start with. I ended up breaking the fuse in an incident
and gave the wing to another flying buddy.Gord |
