I can say this with 100% certainty. If I make SEFF this year. I will NOT be a target for planes. It is not going to happen again. I don't find it F'ng funny, it is dangerous and just down right rude.

I didn't notice this on the site the other day....

"Last year the Vendors spoke and we listened. New for 2013 we will have vendor malls set up at the Sport, 3-D, and Parkflyer Flightlines, so you wont have to miss any of the action while you browse some cool products."

So it seems to me they are either
A)only allowing vendoers to set up on the front rows of the spectator EZ up area
or
B) allowing vendors to set up between the EZ-up area and the actual flightline.

Basically seems to me if you want to watch people fly you're not going to be able to do so from the shade and comfort of the canopy. And when you want to fly you're going to have to go through the vendor tents to get to the flightline.

It won't be an issue if there are as few vendors as last year. I have a horrible fear it's going to make everything really annoying, though, and probably more likely theft will occur.

Then again, I'm a pessimist and swear every year it's become so commercialized I won't be back....

I agree that every year it gets more commercialized, the Demos seem to go on forever. I can understand why though, the sponsors need to get something for their time and donations.
If you are new to it that is pretty cool. On the other hand it gives me a good chance to take a rest for a bit and grab a sandwich or something in the camper.

I do really hope they don't block off all the front row spots for vendors. That would really suck.

All the reason to get there early and get set up on the front!

Seems like the past few years Hobby Lobby, Horizon, Hitec, and Hobbico have already infringed on these areas......not for sales....but have taken some prime space.
Have they decided how the sport area will be laid out yet?

That is true for sure Terry. Hobby Lobby and Horizon have been setting up where they have been since I've been going, 6 years at least. The Hobbico and others on that far side have only been doing that recently for the last couple years.

They have not officially announced the flightline layout yet. I am curious to see how it is going to work around and over the lake.

Hopefully they will start putting more news out soon. People are getting ancy for sure!
