Default Doh!

Built my first EDF. Learned a good lesson. Even if the instructions say glue everything up tight, leave yourself some easy access to the fan unit and ESC. Lest you have to do some serious cutting like I did.

I'll try to maiden for the second time Sunday or Monday if the weather is good.

Default towplane woes

I guess I should have known not to fly today. When you find a crow dead in your tree TAKE IT AS A BAD OMEN!!!!

Repairs dont look too difficult & hopefull the electrics survived as well.

Nice, clear day out at the dry lake.

I got the above photo from this vid:

This was a 27 min. flight. YouTube wouldn't let me upload a file that large, so I'll call this 14 min. segment "Part 1."

In case you havent heared theres going to be a asteroid nearly hitting the earth tomorrow night. It is 150 feet wide & will miss the earth by 15 minutes......yikes!!!

If it were to hit the earth a direct hit would level a city they say

From a NASA site http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/as...d20130204.html
Quote:

You should be able to watch it here:

A Ustream feed of the flyby from a telescope at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., will be broadcast from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. PST (9 p.m. to midnight EST) on Feb. 15. To view the feed and ask researchers questions via Twitter about the flyby, visit: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/nasa-msfc .

Daves new 15 footer broomstick glider. Its wing is made out of 6 pieces of dollar foamboard & a couple of broomsticks for a fuse.

Ouch!!!....that one looked like it hurt a little bit!

Judging by the "debris field" id say it looks like you almost pulled out of it.

If you decide its fixable take a look at the changesun 10 & 12 blade fans http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1521248.
The sound of them is just freakn' awesome. Gonna put one in my f-16 someday

You dont need 6 cells to power them. I just like this video

Yea I got it upright before it hit the ground.

Good lord, that's fast and it sounds good too. As my pic portrays, I am not worthy of such an aircraft
