You might want to look in the airplane for sale classifieds as neither one of those models have been available for a while.

An excellent alternative choice might be a GWS Formosa. Usually can be had under $40 for a NPS version and will fly pattern extremely well.

Or checkout the late 1990's Electrostreak. I've owned three of them, still got two of them, sold the last one. This model would be great with an appropriate brushless motor.

I have an Eflite Leader 480. The recommended power system seemed a bit weak, so my setup is: A Suppo 2820/6 1000k motor (550 watts max), a HobbyWing Pentium 60 ESC, 4 cell 2200 Mah lipo and an APC 10x7 prop. With this setup, the plane weighs in at 48 Ounces. It has enough wing area to carry this fairly easily, with a stall speed just under
20 MPH. The plane both tracks and performs pattern well. It easily does unlimited vertical and is quite fast - I average about 1/2 throttle for most flying. My timer is set for a five minute flight, and the batteries are always over 20% upon landing, with the motor only slightly warm to the touch.

Low cost and amazing. $175 (shipped) aircraft with motor and servos.

Then go to Nitroplaness.com get the Dynam 40 amp ESC ($10 GOOD ESC!) and a pair of 4S 4000 mah SkyLiPo (20 c is plenty) for about $90 shipped.

Add TX and RX and you can be in the air in under 2 hours from when it all arrives.
