Default My first ever plane flight.

I'm a heli pilot and in no way a beginner, but still, my first plane flight. I love this little plane, never thought it would be so much fun, in so much wind.

Sorry for the quality, not the best. Video in the next post.

Thanks. I cheated a bit by flying a scaled down PZ T-28 on Phoenix (made by someone at RCG) and surprisingly the sim model is very similar. In a way I knew what to expect, but it was easier than my expectations. Still, I made 4 passes before I could "hover" land lol.

I hope this weekend to maiden my Spirit Glider. Or if I don't chicken out my Slick 360. The T-28 is my 3rd plane, I never maidened my first 2, I was afraid I would wreck them

He made me look, LOL! I thought the video quality was great. The subject matter, an RC plane, is always difficult to get, and especially since it's an ultra-micro. Usually, these wind up going out of focus and you can't even see the plane other than take-off, landing, and a few close passes in between. You did great.

Thanks. I have more footage of my:

1. Spirit Mini Glider: flights and one crash
2. Micro Slick 360 which is an absolute blast to fly (I was afraid of this one but gathered up courage this weekend and went ahead for a few flights).

Well done good flight. Had my first flight for 4 months today. It lasted 23 seconds according to my TX before i crashed it. School boy error, Didn't centre the right aileron properly after some repairs. The aileron was hanging a bit lower than the left aileron. When it left the ground it rolled hard left and was never going to recover. I should have checked but i was just so excited about having a calm day.

Oh well you live and learn. I'm fairly new to this game and its a massive learning curve. Needed some storage space.

Sorry to hear that. I hope the damage is repairable.

I stripped a servo on my Spirit Mini Glider by dropping it from my hand. Right aileron hit my foot and since it had the battery connected, the servo was in hold mode and it stripped. That happen exactly after landing, I just picked it up and was heading for my car. Should teach me to promptly disconnect the battery after landing.
