I've been wanting to get an EDF jet for a while now but have always hesitated because I just don't know what to get. I do know that "bigger is better" where stability and visibility are concerned, but what constitutes "big enough" without going overboard? Price is also most definitely a factor - as much as I'd love a BVM T-33, F-80 or F-86 there is no way short of winning the PCH lottery that I'll ever be able to afford one! Heck, sometimes I have trouble affording to remember my name, much less buy hobby stuff!
Given all that, and that I do have a very
strong preference for scale models and flying, what would be good ones to look at? Retracts and flaps would be nice options but aren't absolutely necessary. I'm not interested in thrust vectoring unless
it is part of the aircraft the model is based on. ARF or RTF by preference but will consider a kit if the other components are easily had and not overly expensive.
Thanks in advance,
