Default Cold, Cold weather flying

I have a calypso I'd like to get out this winter and fly. Not expecting a lot fo lift but worried more about he cold and the lipo. Been thinking of putting a hand warmer, one of the small chem packs under or over or around it. It;s essentially in a foam cooler so some heat should keep it warm. Anybody doing this and aside from the weight and CG any down side?
