Default hay

hay, just wanted to say thanks for having me here. my name is larry, late 40s. been around this stuff since about 7 years old, lots of cox c/l. I just built my first scratch built stick & foam plane. I done a small test today & got her about 5ft. off the ground for an 1/8 of a mile, seemed ok!. any way, some of the ideas came from here. so thanks, and I look for lots of fun foam builds

Welcome to wattflyer Larry. There is a massive wealth of info here. Some of the Scratchbuilds and the builders here have some amazing talent and experience

Happy flying may your crashes be limited and if they are not limited let them be cool.

Default Thanks

Thank you for the warm welcome, the pt 19 trainer was my first c/l. And it was your red slow stick that inspired me to build my mutt ( parts from Helios and other foam left overs. My wings are from dollar tree, I have built a lot of balsa planes over the years. I ( well my wife ) got tired of the high priced foam stuff out there, so here I am with a big smile on my face! I'll post pictures once I figure it out,I am not much on computers.
