Maybe if they can mount mini heat seeking sidewinders, they'll be able to knock down the Amazon delivery drones.

Nothing cool about it. Just attracts more negative attention and that was the point I was trying to make.

I didn't see anything unsafe. middle of no where in a desert. not anymore dangerous then flying a helicopter.

I think it's a pointless exercise, but accept that everyone doesn't share my opinions.

What is troublesome about it is the probability that it would inspire someone with little sense to do something similar without regard for public safety (as they always seem to do eventually). With all the crazy things people come up with to do with a model, I'm amazed we have gotten so far without Big Brother stepping in.

Tom,

That was my point exactly. Somebody not on a ranch gets inspired by something like this and suddenly, there's the regulators .

Thanks for the Tundra Commercial.......looked like a science project to me. Didn't see a bunch of party'ers running around in glee and celebration, like some heli fest's I've been to.....

i remember seeing a video of a quad shooting bottle rockets at helium filled balloons. they would pop with a red flame and the pilot was flying via fpv.

truth is he was a very good pilot and flew a mission with subtitles that really made the video interesting. like the video of the rocket launch, there wasnt any danger to others and it got many posts of it's endangering the hobby.

the worst video i ever saw regarding stupidity and flying was a guy flying a plane shooting bottle rockets at other rc planes and a group of kids running on the ground as the plane flew over them. it was on a farm field so i figure it was his own kids.

narrow is the place to land...wide is the space to crash....choose the narrow way!
