Default Suggestions for a handheld wind meter

I did a search for handheld anemometers and they run the gamut from cheap to really expensive. Can anyone suggest one that you have found reliable, and on the low end of the cost spectrum, say, not more than $30 US. I was surprised at the reviews on Amazon with what seemed like a high failure rate of the less expensive ones. I know, you get what you pay for.
Still, maybe there are a few good cheap ones out there. I can always hope.
