Default Has anyone built the RCPowers jets?

Just curious to know how they turned out.

I've not built any of the RCPowers planes, but I have seen lots of posts over on RCGroups that show them in action, and they seem to fly pretty good. And if you go into the Pusher Jet sections here and on RCGroups, you can find tons of free plans available if you don't want to have to buy them.

Also, there are a lot of kit makers that sell these types of pusher jets. I'm one of them (see the link in my sig). Some others are:

6mmFlyRC
Yardbird RC

+1 on Pat's advice. If you're lazy like me , you can also get laser or CNC cut kits from Dollar tree, Depron or MPF . Check with "birdofplay" over on RCG: http://www.hoosiercutoutservice.com/

or Flight test.http://flitetest.com/

I've built several "prop in the slot' models including and F4J, F-22, F-15, and even a Saab Viggen 70mm edf.

Lots of fun !

Hi Time Bandit,
I have built 2 of the RCP planes, the F22v2 and the F18v2. The F22 was my first RC plane and was/is a very stable platform. I used the KFm2 airfoil which gave lots of lift at slow speeds but allowed the plane to get up and go when you wanted it to.
The secret to his designs is build em light! I got a little carried away with the F18 trying to make it look perdy then had to add a lot of weight to the tail to get the CG were it needed to be.
When I started I purchased the package which included the e-book manual and all the v2 plans. I thought it was good value at $60 since I knew nothing about RC let alone electric systems. The manual was an invaluable tool for someone as green as I was.
Yes he does charge for the plans but he and Scott do support those products with step by step build instructions, advice if something does not seem right and a web site where, like here, your questions will be answered. WJ.
