Default Mini cub

I have a mini cub that I would like to bind to my dx6i . Can anybody give me any hints on how to do this and what parts to use? The mini cub is stock right now. Thanks

Connect battery to plane. Light on rx should start flashing.
Hold trainer switch up while turning on DX6i. DX6i will beep until you let go of trainer switch. Let go of trainer switch.
Should bind in a few seconds.

I tried that and it didn't work. It's an older plane and I was wondering if there was another receiver that I could get that would work

It probably has an FM rx then. The rx is built onto the "brick" with the esc and servos. You'd prob. have to get a whole DSM2 (Champ?) brick or an FM tx.

Are you saying that rx from a Champ would work?

You can't buy just the rx. Most ultra micros have the rx, esc, and servos built onto a pc board (then often called a "brick"). The Champ brick could probably be fitted to your fuselage, but they're not cheap.

...and your motor's plug might, or might not, be the correct one to plug into the esc (you might have to solder).

...I would look for a cheap used TX (that's on the correct FM frequency) or sell your plane to someone that already has one and wants a spare. Then get yourself a DSM2/X plane.

If you are interested in a conversion to standard electronics here is a whole thread about converting the Mini SC.

The Hobby Zone Mini Cub (RTF) came with a 27mHz TX/RX......in order to bind with a DX6i you'll need to swap-out the RX to something like a Spektrum AR400 or equal.

Do you have the rx/esc I just linked to or do you have the larger Cub with a stand-alone rx ?

I've got one in progress but it's on the back burner right now. Have servos and Rx installed. AR6110e Rx (discontinued) and some E-flite RS60 6gm servos.

I've got an old HobbyZone Mini Super Cub FM transmitter I'd happily let you have for the cost of shipping.

No I haven't......A friend owns the Mini Super Cub.

Like Turner has shown.....if you want to use your DX6i, you'll need to mod the entire OS to be compatible with a 2.4ghz DSMX or DSM2 system.

In the case of the Hobby Zone Mini Super Cub, that means installing different, seperate servos, RX, and ESC compatible with the 7.4v battery and stock motor.
