After seeing a video on the history of the plane and it's designer Louis DeMonge and the current project to build and fly this amazing plane I was hooked. So this is my next scratch-build project.

Himax and hobby king sell two motor contra rotating set ups of various sizes.

There are some pictures I took of the real plane here:http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1574254

I'll be watching, good luck!

Development continues. Brought a hi-res jpeg of the fuse and wing plan into my ACAD and scaled the plane to 47" long with a 51" wingspan then began locating a motor and bulkheads.
Still exploring a carved fuse but also still looking at a faceted one.

No I haven't given up.
I was sidetracked with a commitment at my Community Theater to design and build the sets for two consecutive productions, HARVEY and MIRACLE ON 34th STREET.
HARVEY is done and I start MIRACLE on Monday so I hope to get back to the Reve Bleu in couple weeks.

I watched the flight video too.
Concerned about the pilot's comments concerning handling.
mine will be a plane of faceted foam construction with foreword swept Kline Fogelman m4 wings and a single motor and prop on a 4S power system.
