Default Happy Labor Day

Hope everyone get's to enjoy a day off today. Not everyone does though, for the Firefighters, Police, EMS, the Military and many others it's just another day.

Now go fly something! I'm hoping to get out to the field after some lunch with friends this afternoon.

Back at you, firemanbill! Getting ready to go fly now. I used to be one of those working holidays as an A&P mechanic at the airlines. Got a nice cushy job building engines indoors now! But I can appreciate what it's like working the holidays, having been there. Not to mention my wife's an RN, working 2nd shift tonight. She just told my son yesterday 'sick people don't get a day off' so she has to work.

Thanks, firemanbill. But no day off here = planes are flying so Aircraft Rescue & Fire Fighter (that would be me) must be on duty and ready to roll.

93 and feels like 108 outside so I wouldn't go flying anyway . ..

Where are you at CB? I work Crash/Fire/Rescue on Langley AFB. I am the 911 manager so I just work weekdays now. Sometimes I really miss the shift work and other days, like today, I don't!

KEWN Coastal Carolina Regional. I'm not a real fireman just did training & live burns specific to aircraft - pay scale here is so low most of our crew are semi-retired old farts like myself. I also write, edit, and maintain the Airport Certification Manual and Emergency Response Plan. That required studying on NIMS so I could drop enough acronyms in the documents to keep the FAA happy. FEDS love acronyms.

Can't seem to find out how so I hope I am not bothering you with a silly question but if anyone knows ,I am sure it's you

Oh man we were so covered up this year trying to finish those big planes we were building, plus I spent about 3 days in my camper sick, as did a few others in our group. No my funnest SEFF in that regard. Those of us that got it were really down for the count for a few days.

I have found that you have to reduce the size of your photos to post them. Not exactly sure what size the limit is, it says 7.44 meg but sometimes they won't load for me either at that size, so I edit and re size them to about half what they are normally and they will post up fine.

When you make a post scroll down to manage attachments, open that box and then select the file from you computer.

If you make it to SEFF again next year look me up for sure. I will not be there early like I usually am since my Son has a big deal at VA Tech the weekend prior that I will have to attend, but I will be there Monday or Tuesday
