So apart from a couple of small things to sort - she's ready for the skies .....

Just need to check CoG ..... add the Pilot .... and the tail support struts ....

Lookin' great, Nigel. Best wishes for the maiden.

I don't have a short temper. I just have a quick reaction to B.S.

OK finally ready ..

That's tail support struts from CF rod with electrical tag ends and screwed into place.

Pilot sits on depron plate over top of servos ....

Dashboard fitted in rear cockpit ... not possible for front as it stops me inserting LiPo.

CoG is bang on the rear cabanes into top wing.

No extra weight added because of the 5S battery used.

AUW with battery : 2560gr .... (5.64 lbs) ...... much better than I expected.

(I admit that a couple of tiny bits need adding ... the cross wires at interplane struts - trying to figure an easy way there ....)

OK for those interested .....

My flying wires are CF fishing trace with crimps. I used electrical crimp tags for attachment to lower fuselage ... inserted and epoxied in place. Other attachments are just trace wire through and crimped on permanent. The active ends at interplane are clevis ends from bowden cable and nuts through the small strut holes. Adjustable by virtue of the clevis end.

In lower Fuselage side :

Top cabane :

Interplane strut atachment :

Yes a pain to rig / derig ... but at least its secure !! and adjustable.

This baby loves to fly .... maiden went really well ... in fact I could not resist putting three batterys through her.

First two flights on 12x6 prop with the 5S on the 4250 500kv ... very scale like speed ...

Third flight I fitted a 13x6 for just a bit more thrust ... and proved to be perfect ...

Here's the maiden :

Next flights will be shown later ...

mmmmm the 63mm wheels I swapped onto her .. basically shed themselves, cheap plastic jobs !! Blustery day for flying and she cartwheeled after landing .. wind and busted wheel flipped her ... but she survived fine.

Here's a few shots of her from today :

Sorry about blurriness in some ... camera batterys were down and auto-focus was a bit slow !!

I love flying this model ..... the other Elerc kit I have is the Piper Cub and that is a bit if a dog ... has a mind of its own. But this Tiggie is a beaut. Excuse the out of scale bits and enjoy !!
