Parkzone Archer I think it's a nice change of pace from all the warbirds. I'm surprised it runs on only a 2S lipo, but I'm one of those in the camp of 'if you want a racing plane, get one', so that doesn't bother me. A little too late of a release for Christmas! (Wish I could post some pics here. Sorry!) |

Thanks for posting those!Yes, I guess it's not exciting enough for the general populace? But I guarantee if you show up at the field with one, it'll get a lot of attention, and compliments of how good it looks in flight. Like the Dynam Turbojet, which for some reason they didn't call it a Cessna Citation. Neat plane, but not terribly popular. |

Quick peek on arrival of the Archer. Nice wide compartment easy access. RTF version now includes Lipo. Goes together quickly charge the battery prior to limited assembly, all servos pre-installed, even the prop. The DX4e supplied transmitter abit heavy on the aileron throw, use to these found manageable.
Anxious so flew early today as snow starting, kept things close. Winds down made an easy flight. Low throttles does beautiful passes and not likely to stall as floats well. Infact deadsticked the landing as my way, first attempt was too high not losing altitude! Down to tree level made the downhill turn throttling off, into a light breeze nosed down for flying speed, came down on the money but puff of wind near stall on landing nosed up but kept things level just a slight bump on touchdown. Easy to fly airborne, smooth turns, zero bad tendencies other than likes to float, definitely a great flyer! Quick look http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YW-d...e_gdata_player |

It sure does look like a keeper! Great flight report - let us know how much you are loving it and we will all have to run out and buy them...

Well it's durable, horrible landing still intact, my 2nd flight with this new bird. Did pick up pavement salt on the wheels else intact.
4degrees winds from the right, awaaaay we go, not a lot inframe, downwind takeoff, as Archer doesn't care! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXrj5...e_gdata_player |
