Welcome to the Unclub!
Nice to meet you too Tim! looking forward to flying with you and your buds.
Im very interested in your work, and looking forward to seeing all your gear.
I said (half way joking), that I would like to work for you if you ever need any help, but really if you ever need any help with anything, it would be a blast working a job that I have a passion and love for.
I've worked in my family business (Merritt's Bakery) for thirty years, and will probably work there the rest of my life, but I would love to help you out part time. I'm off work almost every day by 1pm.
Not sure what skills I could bring to the table.
I Have a degree in Industrial Engineering, 30 years of R/C experience including 10 years of helicopters, 5 years of car racing, the last 2 years flying multi rotors/FPV, and all of that time also flying airplanes. I build about 1/4 of my planes from scratch, and love every part of this great hobby of ours.
I work cheap!
Thanks for letting me beg!
Brett

I live about a mile east of the field so I can fly most evenings after 5:00. Thanks
Enjoyed flying with you David (hope I remembered your name right).
Welcome to the Unclub!
We talked about our next FPV plane, and we both stated that we liked the SkyHunter, but I think I have found one I like better, you should check it out.
https://www.flyingfoam.com/ It's called the Nurf. It's a 72" forward swept wing, that will carry a 4cell 5000mah lipo, a GoPro, and fly for over an hour.
I'm still researching it, but I think I will place an order in the next week.
On the FPV threads, those that have it say they like it better than their Penguins, and their TBS wings.
Be sure and watch the videos, and look at the thread on RC Groups. This plane is very smooth, and has a good speed range. 20-70mph, I like the way its put together, and breaks down for transport.

Default FPV Plane

Brett it was good to fly with you as well. Working for Tactical Electronics would be a dream. I checked out their website and it's pretty awesome. I just saw your post on the fpv plane you recommended. I'll take a look this afternoon. I'll probably head out there tomorrow but it looks like it's gonna be pretty windy.

Thanks guys. Looks like I am going to stop by the "flight line" tomorrow morning on my way out of town to introduce my buddies. I would love to take you to the shop and show you around someday. I am out of town all next week but definitely the week after. Maybe we could meet for lunch sometime to discuss projects.
See you at 8:30 tomorrow hopefully!

Default Saturday Flying

It was good to see everyone out there flying today. Lots of quads today. I'm not used to the Oklahoma wind yet so I'll have to get the hang of it.
