Can't help but enjoy this thread. We do not do pylon racing on our field. At least not yet ! I have a T-28 and there are others that fly them. Looks like a lot of fun. Of course, no one really flew combat until a bunch of us foamie guys started duking it out on Sundays with our cheaply made F-22's
Good stuff ! |

The only change I'd make to our rules is to standardize the battery plug and ESC timing. At the begining of flying have the batteries drawn out of a hat so you wouldn't get that advantage or added cost of extreme batteries. They would be returned to their owner at the end of flying. Each heat is 2 minutes so a battery would last through a day's heats. |

Bob was able to snatch these still's from Otto's last race video, and yup, that was me barking at your Six Otto!
I raced on a borrowed, beat up Trojan. I didnt even have time to trim it before the race started! I'm going to see if there is enough change in the couch for me to get one to keep racing. |

Here are the results of the last race, and the combined totals of the 2 so far this season.

We had a great time and Tom Rainwater ably subbed for Frank as event director. T-28 participation continues to grow with strong competition and fun. Mini Sticks took a real hit with 3 contestants and a midair during the first heat reducing participants to 1. A new teenager, Trevor, is on the T-28 scene and took me in heat 5. Bob won heat 1 even with a start penalty lap and me as his caller. I won heats 2 and 4, Trevor heat 5 and Larry heat 6. Don't know who won heat 3, probably Trevor. A great time and the heat system Tom has set up almost runs itself. Saw two different arguments over who placed last in two different heats. That was a first.

Trevor continues to be my nemisis. Every time I race with him he out points me. We had great weather today and a good number of T-28s. Here's the video. Nothing real exciting today but some planes on my tail.
Otto, you again did very well! It was interesting to see the video of the cut, even with that you still finished strong through the whole day. |

Oh yeah... look who's in the lead! (by a narrow margin!)
And another member, Otto, is tied for 1st in his class with Robert Stinson ![]() We are skipping this mont for Fathers Day (however, I would have loved to have Fathers Day spent racing). |

Here is some footage of the E Formula One races at my club field in Calgary.
The club is the Calgary Miniature Pylon racing Association. Most of the members race nitro super speed demons but there are a few that race electric. |

Hi all. Here's the video from the airborne key chain cameras attached to my T-28. Enjoy.

With 2 consecutive Mini Ultra Stick series wins, I'm going to jump into Trojan racing also! Otto, you may have one race on me, but I'm prepping to give you a run for the money!
