Maiden Flight of the Double Horse 9117

FINALLY got a halfway decent day to take some aircraft to the soccer field, the 9117 as well. While it did fly nicely it DOES need some nose weight for windy work, used stock settings on the TX for everything, spooled up nice and smooth, got about a 9 or 10 minute flight out of a first charge on the stock battery before it did the 'ol "LVC Spin", gave her hard left rudder, and set 'er down for a nice, smooth landing. Checked motor temp(s), and they were warm, but not ridiculously hot like the 9104 motors customarily get after a long flight time like that, don't know if that'll change over time, but for a first flight, I'd have to say it did remarkably well, and WAY better range than the 27MHz setup on the 9104. I'm happy with this bird.

Can't wait to see how it does with 4 grams of clay in the nose. And after flying the Nine Eagles Solo Pro V2s around the house for a couple weeks I figured the D.H. would have to at least fly as well if not better, and I'm thinking after the weight's added, it'll be better, but stone stock I was pleasantly surprised. Not a bad bird for the price for what I do with it...
