Today the RC gods were with me. I went to the field and launched my .40 size Escapade. As I was flying, I felt the Lipo battery that I use to power my transmitter come loose and fall out of the transmitter. Before I could land the plane, the weight of the battery pulled the connector apart, and my transmitter went dead. All I could do then was watch and wait for the inevitable crash.

What followed next was a thing of beauty. The motor stopped, the wings stayed level, and I just watched as my airplane glided to a nice landing on a bush free part of the field. The only damage done was the tail wheel was knocked off. I feel very lucky.

I have no pictures or video, but I did have a witness.

Well it seems that since last years labor day bbq / potluck & combat fun fly was such a hit we're going to try & do it again this year.
Of course it wont be just combat flying. you can fly what ever you want.

So if you go out to central put the word out & let everyone know about it....cheers
