Dollar Tree sells a cleaner called Amazing Cleaner. Just wet the paper with it, wait a few minutes and it will peel right off. Amazing

Honestly? I just peel it off. No soaking. No treatment. Just grab a corner and peel. I rarely have any trouble.

Same here, I think messing around with something to make it 'easier' is really just adding work. Now if it were Ross or Elmers brands then it would be a different story, but Adams brand is easy.

I just belly landed on some damp grass once. That's all it took!

Lol, yeah that usually does it with plain DTFB. I only have one DTFB plane right now, and since I wanted to see if it would last I covered it with Dollar Tree cellophane gift wrap. So far it has lasted almost a year (including snow and wet grass landings) and a rain shower. I was afraid the foamboard would start to show fatigue but it really hasn't at all even though I cut huge sections out of the wings to reduce weight.

Historically, I've had no problems but, with the last two batches of foam board I picked up, getting the paper off was a nightmare! What should have been an easy 15 seconds turned into a frustrating 15 minutes.

I hope it was random luck and doesn't represent a change in the manufacturing process or something.

According to this post, the DTFB has changed. He confirms in "TEST 3 - Paper removal" that one side is more difficult to remove the paper.
