I've flown a few FPV quads but not an FPV plane...so thought I would try out the Reptile S800 FPV wing. Came with everything except the receiver and flight battery. Relatively simple to put together. Flew it FPV for the first time today. Never had so much fun. Vid below of my flying experience...
Seems, after reviewing a couple of the website videos, as advertised, this unit advertised as a PNP is very miss-leading........even ARF is a stretch.
Although, everything considered, for the price and apparent craft material quality, one with build experience and a little RC electrical know-how could get this unit in the air......providing one also purchases a FPV headset or ground station receiver and a better vid camera & antenna........it may be a decent "wing" craft to fool around with FPV.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. It looks the perfect size to throw into the trunk of a car or behind the seat in my truck. My fpv planes (mostly gliders) have been getting bigger and I need to start down scaling. The price looks extremely fair. My first RMRC Mako wing two years ago cost me near $600. Every time it threatens to go down in in the forest I get a sick feeling. This would be affordable to learn on and wouldn't make you to upset if it was lost or crashed.
This has been my small 'go to' fpv plane. It is anything BUT slow and relaxing.
