Motor,
I have a few edf's and they'll all unique in their own way. Even my 50mm Jpowers edf's have different behaviors amongst them. What's the model brand ? Fan size? WS? Rog or hand launch? Alot of times you can find a forum or thread on the particular plane where other pilots chime-in on their experiences. Just google or run a search on RCG. None of my edf's are intimidating. The best of the bunch is the Phase 3 F-16. Man, she flies on rails. $79.00 from Hobby People. I set them up with lots of expo initially and also dual rates. They are not overly fast but it depends on what you are transitioning from in terms of speed. The trick is to stay out in front them. Good luck ! Hawk |

still unsure fo brand and havn't spent much time working on the l39 yet just have it sitting there on one of my tables wing span if i remembber correct is 31 1/2 has gear so i believe it is rog . i have flown strykers and misc fixed wing planes electric and nitro i know electric only on here i also fly helicopters i'm ok with assembling heli parts but i'm not much of a builder yet for planes mostly planes built for me to fly i under stand setup but not well when it comes to making it fly real good they just fly maybe the pilot but suspect sometimes it has to do with the airframe as well

If you can handle heli's, especially 3D, this will be kids play to you. Heli's have a gazillion moving parts where fixed wing only have a few to be concerned about. The edf comes in three pieces: Motor, DF housing, fan. Connect motor to esc, esc to lipo and rx. End of story.
Sounds like a cool plane. Post a pic when you can. Cheers, Hawk |
