I'm afraid that any thing that would dissolve the Gorilla glue will also dissolve any other plastic or foam structure in the vicinity. About the only solution is to mechanically clean it out with tweezers, forceps, knives or whatever. If it is possible to completely remove the nose gear assembly, then you could immerse it in acetone (or maybe gasoline as that will dissolve some foams) to remove the bulk of the glue. However, you will still wind up with a sticky film on the remaining parts that will have to be laboriously scrubbed off.

As far as I know nothing but force removes dry Gorilla Glue.

If you're going to learn to fly them, you have to learn to fix them. |

Remove the landing gear and wheel, and use a propane torch to burn away the glue, FIRE GOOD
Ok Just Kiddingtry using a soldering iron to heat up the old glue with to get it soft and remove it when it gets hot and soft. |

Do not Judge, or you too will be Judged. For in the same way you Judge others, you will be Judged, and with the same measure you use, it will be measured to You.

Problem solved! I used my heat gun to soften it up a bit. Then used a hobby knife to cut a scrape away enough glue to free the mechanism. Thanks for the suggestions. Except the one about explosives

The foam-up Gorilla is a PINA Spilled some on my tires and it's a bear to get off.
I prefer Beacons Foam Tac and/ or 5 min epoxy for most things. For foamie profiles I use hot glue and to repair detached ailerons I use welders. Throw the Gorilla in the bin ! |
