Yeah i read most of the thread, well that is the same wing as on my WD from Art-Tech which also comes with one that does not have ailerons.
We all know we can get the same plane from different places with different names but they are the same plane.

Lancer is correct, it's a Begin Air, not a Wing Dragon. The wing on the Begin Air is more rectangular shaped, whereas the Wing Dragon wing has a tapered leading edge at the wingtips.
But other than that, they are essentially the same. |

![]() As you say theres not a lot in it though and i wouldn't of noticed if you hadn't of said, still the wing dragon was one of my first planes and i wouldn't be in the hobby now if it hadn't been for that great flying plane,oh and a HZ firebird Phantom.

Hate to be a pedant, but when the plane was bought it was an Art Tech Wing Dragon Sporter, Chinese spelling incl . I bought one earlier in '07 and learnt to fly with it, back then they had the red flat wing with ailerons
.I still have my hanging in my hanger, although I did replace many parts whilst learning to fly . I have two friends who have started the hobby with the newer yellow/orange version which is now on sale here in the UK/Europe. This picture was taken back in '07 when Wiggy visited the UK, here I am explaining the mission to a passing dog walker, my Wing Dragon is on the floor.

A Wing Dragon, by any other name.......etc.
(By the way, a "hanger" is for hanging clothing, etc. The place where they store airplanes is a "hangar". Semantics & grammar aside, it was still a great project to be part of!

Just wondering. This plane had an interesting adventure, as did its various pilots.

I think Wiggy still resides with John:

I agree. I thought it was a little sad that the story just kind of ended. I would gladly help Wiggy get to the AMA museum or something like that. As for Tim, no I never was able to get in touch with him. I tried numerous times to contact him via work e-mail and even once through a contractor who knew him and saw him on occasion. |

I think the next step is to see if AMA will accept Wiggy. That is where she belongs. Tim appears to be out of the picture, but I think he was for the AMA as a final depository for Wiggy. At least I think so.

I agree. I think Tim had the same thing in mind. Numerous contact attempts and two years of silence here should about cover the fact that contact with Tim now seems unlikely.
