Such a great feeling to see something you built from scratch up in the air

Went on to practice handlaunches and landings with the trainer model and that went very smoothly as well. My buddy said he wanted to build another plane and offered me the trainer model That was a no-brainer and now I'm sitting here at my table typing this post glancing at the Schumate f-22 and a really decent looking TomHe f-22 raptor thinking "nice.. "

Like I said at the beginning of this post: such a great day.

The good news: Beautiful, warm 90 deg day. Bad news: winds 20 gusting to 30. Worse tomorrow. So, it's a putzing and repairing day.

beautiful this morning,we had 4 planes flying at the same time all morning and maybe 15+ pilots at the field[only have 4 flight stations]...most everyone packed it in as winds were to much to enjoy flyingby noon.i i got 3 flights in on the foamy yak,and held off the maidening of the electrifly edge 540t. i cant wait till the superfly arrives so i have something to throw into the wind[along with caution]. maybe i'll name my superfly "caution".

sundays weather....clouds with rain,we have a club event to do with the town and it's just static display of helies and planes for the recycle center. lots of kids will try our simulators set up under a tent.

narrow is the place to land...wide is the space to crash....choose the narrow way!

I was able to get in 11 flights 0 to 8 mph wind and cloudy. There was only 2 of us flying so plenty of airspace to share. Hope to get out again Sun. in the morning for more stick time looking good for the a.m.

We have had a couple weeks now of 10 to 20 mph winds here and for the last 4 or 5 days i got fed up waiting for the wind to die down and went out every day for 3 or 4 flights anyways . They dont call it the windy city for nothing and iam use to it. joe

was planning to fly today, little windy, but not for the edge
instead thanks to a 85mph heat burst last nite,
got a free 1/3 of a rick of junk elm!
Almost need a chainsaw to cut the humidity!
Gotta like it! Snowy & cold still in my memory bank

Well, it was raining most of the time yesterday at my field, but I got some good flights in anyway. Flew the 3DHS 58" Edge and the 72" Extra in pouring rain. I was having such a good time, so I just didn't care...

Way to go Swede ! I have not put the Super Vyper together yet as I'm practicing on my Mosa II. But if you fall upon a good deal on an Omega-130, let me know. I've been collecting parts for the build like Hitec servos. Still need the 65's.

@Crimson- You getting twisters up yonder? Looked kind of ominous with the gulf moist air streaming north and a massive cold front coming down . Lot's of shear.

I't a total no-go today. +20 with gust @35. Glad I don't wear a toupe !

yep bad ones, several fatalities already reported, at one time had twin f3-4's within a few miles same path of destruction on Interstate 40 & 177 east of OKC. Not a good day at all.

I heard that you dropped my name to Gary at the Fly-Low-In! Unfortunately, dropping my name doesn't get you much..

Looks like I have a business trip to Dallas coming up at some point. I may pay a visit to 114th if I get a chance...

Swede, that would be great. Our field is about 10-15 min from DFW.
C'mon down !

Gary's a nice guy ! And a Predator instructor to boot. Only RC plane that can legally fire missiles.

Was hoping to fly my eagle 2, had 2 batteries charged. Then came the morning and a sad situations was discovered, one of the cats slept on the stab and ridder which caused it to crush and fall over In the condition I found it, there was no chance of repairs. could not be mad as it was my fault for leaving the plane where it was. Plus the grounds were very wet and no place to fly anyhow!

Low and slow is the way to go!

Had a few great flights yesterday in mildly windy conditions here in N. San Diego County. Weather was great. Sunshine almost all day. Had one mishap with my Ares Gamma 370 Pro. Crosswind around 13 mph took her on final approach into a 6 foot tree. No damage and no problem getting her back though. It's fun flying in wind.

Crimson,
I pray you and loved ones are okay. The devastation in Moore is beyond belief. This is terrible. We're on the lookout here tonight All I can do from here is donate to the Red Cross.

Take good care !
