Moonwalker, I'm not sure if it 3mm or 3.2mm but if your LHS sells the stock props I bet he also has the adapter for it also. I just grabbed mine off a wall with Parkzone parts and its labeled for a F-27C. I guess you could also bring in the plane and test fit the sizes to make sure its right.

Hy Randy,
My current one I got from Bob Ruff. The one I just ordered is a backorder from Tower. "Late Oct" is the shipping est. I wasn't in a big rush since I already have one. Did a high-power setup on the first, gonna go light on the second... Brian |

When you get a moment, could you post a picture of how the motor is mounted on this thing? Thanks! |

The motor mount is simply yet strong with some thrust line adjustment. The lower screw adjust the tilt but I found that snugging it firm give a motor a slight downward tilt thats just right at full power. There's enough hole's in the motor mount to make most inrunner's or outrunner's work. I first tested it with a Park 370 outrunner and a 7x5 and it did ok.

That motor mount looks great. The jet exhaust look is a nice touch.

There's also some real nice touches like the bumps under the wing for finding CG fast and easy. Airflow for cooling was also well thought out and pays off big time over the battery and throughout.

Very nice touches. The front cooling hole is just like my MJ. I also like the cooling hole for the motor in the back. I was thinking of adding some spoons as intakes for my MJ back by the motor cover. They thought of everything on this bird, nice indeed. Thanks for posting the pix Kosh.

Thanks for the pics on the mount - very nice indeed. Checked my LHS yesterday, no dice. If anyone hears of these being sold online, please post so I can get in on the action! SS |

My LHS gets them from Tower or Hobby Lobby, I'm not sure which but my pre order is in and the owner of the LHS told me they are due at the end of the month. For now I'm having fun with the Micro Jet and I'm waiting for my Little Screamers Park Jet motor to arrive.
Kosh you are running the BL Stryker motor, rite? I have a 2815-3000 Himax that would really tear up the sky in one of these FJ's. That is if it isn't too heavy sitting back there on the FJ's tail. CTD |

Thanks for the link to the manual. Looks like it's at least as simple at the MJ to assemble. Can't wait to get one of these! |

CTD if that Himax weighs what the Typhoon or Mega motors weigh it'll work fine. I have 2 Funjets and they balance just fine with a 2500 4 cell and a Typhoon 4W or a 3W and a 2100 3 cell. They have plenty of fuselage space for whatever you want to do to get it to balance out.
Changing motors is so simple and it'll take just about whatever screw pattern your motor has, inrunner or outrunner it has accepted Mega, Typhoon, JGF 450th,400t, whatever you have. The adjustable thrust line is handy too. |

The F27C motor with a 6x5.5 does fine. Flight tested it yesterday and it did pick up some speed. Battery was only 93 degrees after a 8 min flight so I'm pretty happy.

Kosh,
Glad it worked well for you. I really like that prop. I can't run it on the 3000KV motor but it is great on my 16-25-3 or on a 2000 to 2200 KV motor on 3S. My LHS still cant get me a FJ!! I hope they come in soon, the FJ is such a great looking plane. CTD |

Heya Kosh, sorry wasn't out on Sunday but I had this badboy to build. I actually had it done by 2 or 3pm, but I wanted to admire it for a few days before I send it out for a maiden.
Specs: LSPJ 6x4 APCe Dynam 30A (leads extended quite a bit on motor side) HS-81's Electron 6 Electric Power 1000 20C, 1300 20C, or TP1320 PL. Balances out nicely, although I have concerns about the motor mount. I don't know if Kosh reported back, but the thrust angle adjuster may slip if pushed too hard. AUW = 15oz w/EP1000 (second heaviest batt out of the three). -Chris |

PS, That BP motor preformed badly for you because it takes a 12x6 prop. Its going on my SS so thats cool and all works out well.

I never used that BP motor, I bought it as an impulse buy to have the entire line of BP motors at my testing disposal. One day about 3 months ago I went on a soldering spree to try and get most of it out of the way in one shot.
And thats when I put the 3.5mm conns on there. But it's never even seen power from me. It surely would have if I would have commited to buying a thrust test stand from BPhobbies. Lol jeez Lon, I wouldn't have given you a motor that didn't perform as stated in the specs. Even though it was free, I still wouldn't give complete crap out :p -Chris |

Dont get me wrong Chris, Im happy it takes the bigger prop as it gives me lots of options for its use. Happy camper here.
One of my friends was at the new Woodinville hobby store yesterday and he says they just got in some Little Screamer motors. Going to head there in a bit and see what he has in stock, Hopefully pick up a LSPJ motor that I can test on the F27 tonight and then decide if it goes on the Funjet. |

Nice, the LSPJ seems like it has very good thrust when static WOT. Although I would have liked it to come out lighter... I feel the extensions that run throughout this plane really work against you.
If there is one thing I'd ding this Funjet design for... it'd be it's neccessary use of ESC motor extensions. -Chris |

Ok, I got to know exactly where can I get a Fun Jet. My LHS can't even find anybody who knows anything about FJ's and when they will be in stock. Kosh, can i order one from your Local Hobby Shop? Can I get them on line? I don't see them on HL's web site or on Towers web site!! I saw them at the link above but it says they are out of stock, Boo Hiss!!
