Very nice. I learned to fly power on a plane that looked just like that. Minus the ailerons.

Well i had to build something, so i built a Corsair using The Simple Corsair Plan.
I opted for a full fuse instead of the Profile, and here is what it looks like.

Flew it 3 times this morning.

hey foamy gang,i'v been looking into this bird for a park flyer, how easy would it be to purchase foam and build one from scratch. i never built a foam plane and would have to purchase extra materials...so would a first build still cost the same $60 bucks[+$13 shipping]. i haven't ordered it yet but want a plane to fly in the morning that flys slow and easy in a multi ball feild park. thanks for any suggestions. stu

Hey there Stuart, if you want to build one you can get the material for a couple of bucks.
Dollar Tree Store has foam board for a buck a sheet 20x30
And you can find plans on the internet easily.

thanks, thing is the foam used on the yak is thick and the wing has a airfoil shape.....if it crashes all i need is a little foam safe ca. do i need to use a hot wire cutter for foam or a razor knife. just the carbon fiber rods for supporting the wing and control surfaces would run a few buck and the the misc hardware a few bucks.hummmmm, guess thats why lazy builders by kits. might just go the $60 easy way out

i am jealous of the foamier scratch builds though, you experiment in realms of design we only dream about...lol.

Can't wait to see the finished plane. Painting is my weakness.

Hey Crash,
I love your plane you made, I give it a 10. Do you have a link to the plans you could send to me? I was always going to build a bi-plane but never did. This is just what I'm looking for. It would give me something to due this winter.

It is going to be a 1:24 (66"wing span) scale model of this AC-130 when I get finished with it.
