I often read about micro plane . But what is the exact definition of micro plane ?
Based on weight ? Fuse length ? Wing Span ?

So this plane be categorized as what ? miniplane ?

weight = 300 grams
fuse = 55 cm
ws = 60 cm

Well, as the name suggests, any plane that can be flown comfortably Indoors fits into this category. Whats the wing area on your plane? Is that a choroplast construction? Have you tried to fly the plane indoors?

Ooo I see .....
Wing area = 9 dm sq .
This plane is 'scale' model of piper j 3 cub ; made of coroplast 2mm .
Have been tested outdoors ; but the rudder is too sensitive .
So I plan to lengthen wing span to 75 cm .

I need some advice. The connector on one of my new Plantaco actuators broke off at the coil. Boy is that wire small. I need some advice as to how to repair this. Not enough wire on the coil to solder to. I bought the whole system, but have not used it as yet. Am trying to finish my first plane. I have aquery in to the company, but any help or advice would be appreciated

Do you have any length showing at all, if by any means can you pull on it to lengthen, try to find were the wire is in the coil if you can! if not forget it,I have had many coils come to an end in this manner, could not find were the wire terminated to an end,so as to grab it.....this is my experience.....

Hi, Alpenaflyer
If you are really careful, you may be able to remove the old coil with a little acetone. I think www.BSDmicroRC.com can sell you a replacement coil.

If you can still see two wire "ends" on the coil, you should be able to gently unwind enough wire to solder to. If not, A LITTLE ca debonder on a q-tip can be used to wipe the outer surface and with a bit of luck "lift" the ends of the wire free. Same method can be used to soften the bond of the coil to unwind a bit of wire more easily. A desktop magnifier or similar and a small soldering iron are required tools too.
