Removed it and tried it another plane. In this plane, channel 1 works fine for throttle, and 3 works as well. But still have no power coming from 2 or 4. Any ideas? I was going to return it today, but that means I will have to wait for the LHS to order a crystal for a JR transmitter and I want to fly this weekend. Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

Remember that the channel order on the transmitter controls which slot to plug in the esc. On a Futaba or Hitec, it plugs into channel 3, on a JR it is a different channel for the throttle.

I'm not sure on this though. As when hooked up to my plane, the throttle does work like normal when plugged into ch1, and whatever I have plugged into ch3 works normally as well. But both ch2 and ch4 are dead. |

That would explain my problem of no output on those channels. I will give that a try. |

Well, I figured out one problem only to discover another.
After installing channels 2 and 4 in the opposite direction of 1 and 3, all channels are now working on my hydrofoam and formosa. But, now - when I hook up the battery on the Typhoon 3D, the ESC beeps only twice, saying that it is only reading 2cells, instead of the 3S pack I am using. Also, no controls work at all, including throttle. Help! |

If the battery is not fully charged, it will read the voltage as a highly charged 2 cell rather than a low charged 3 cell. At least some of them work that way.

Well - I think I have also figured out this other problem.
The Radio I am using is a JR XP652. I think that the programming is off, because I tried my backup TX, which is an XF421 and now everything works. The problem now, is the reason the XF421 is decomissioned is because the servo reversing feature quick working. So, all the servos are out of wack. I need to figure out the programming problem with the XP652 and I should be set. If no luck, worst case senerio is that I have to switch the servo horns to the other side of the control surfaces. |

Well - I finally figured out the problem I was having. My computer radio programming was all off and was mixing things that should not have been mixed. I switched to a new program and finally got everything set up.
First maiden on the Typhoon tomorrow morning pending it isnt raining! I cannot wait! I moved recently and have had all the planes packed up for over a year! This will be the first flight with a true 3D plane. Previously, the only serious aerobatic planes I had were a Stearman PT-17 and a GWS brushless Formosa. Wish me luck! |
