Default Ducted Fan dot com A10 twin 70mm

Does anyone have any information on the Ducted Fan dot com A-10 twin 70mm Compoaite EDF jet? I am thinking about buying one and wanted to get some insight before I lay down the cash. Thanks in advance for any info. On their web site they call it the DFR 480 A-10

I checked out the site, and it linked me to some other location.

You might want to check that address again.

Found it. www.ductedfans.com

it was fans, plural.

Yes it is fans, sorry. What I am really looking for is someone who has bought, flown, seen, touched this model. I do not want to buy something no one has any experiance with. At least not yet.

Look at the EJF A10 kit also. I've seen a few built on the forums, that look and flew well.

There are many flight reports over at RC Groups and it is a great flyer!

I can also get you a better deal on one than Ducted Fans and also have the Gray color available!

Airman55,
I can't get either the A-10 or Lear to open?
Why don't you just post the info here?

I'd be interested in the Lear Jet!

Randy,
I think Glenn Delconte (local boy) is still doing learjet kits. I had one at one time powered by two edf 55's and it flew really well. I lost it in a stall. Ill see if I can get in touch with Glenn if you want.

I have a manufacturer lined up who will be offering both the Lear jet and A10 in the next 30 to 60 days. I can send you the link when it is available, if you like.

Default Thanks for the help guys

Well I bought the A-10 at the neat fair and am going to put it together starting Friday night. I have been working on pre-build things like the BSC and other things I can do early on. I will post some pics as things progress.

Randy I really appreciate your emails and I will be contacting you for other things later. I did not realize who you were until I read the Stryker thread.

Flying Monkey thanks to you too, as I am catching up on the monkey abuse thread right now. Some of that stuff is just too much fun.

Oh on lear jets, I think Hobby Lobby had a couple at the NEAT fair this year. They did however crash both of them. The first one the wing separated in flight, and I believe the second attempted a vertical soil penetration test. You may already know all of this but I thought I would throw it in for Randy in case he hadn't heard about it.

I have been out of the hobby for over 16 years and only recently returned to the addiction. I have a great group of guys that I am flying with and they are helping me adapt to the world of electron motivation. The A-10 is something I always wanted to do in glow but would never have had the money to accomplish. I am glad I found watt flyer and I hope to some day contribute something of value to this community.

Ron

And then he said "Lordy! Lordy! Lordy! is that thing supposed to stick out of the ground like that?"

Default It Flys, It Flys!!!!

The A10 is complete. I intend to do a build thread once all things are resolved but here is the you tube link to the video of the 2nd flight. The maiden obviously went well.

Enjoy!!
