I read, with interest a thread that I can no longer find about Air Hogs and such. Somehow I didn't beleive these guys were serious, but I bit and bought three different planes (three grandsons you know) a AH Biplane, mini XP, and an AH jet (style). I was amazed at how well they fly. They do have limitations i.e. power-off control, but the + side is learning throttle management. The jet style from Target fly the best but not by much. Too much trottle and that thing climbs. I have to admit that I'm having fun testing out Christmas presents. I'm not ready to admit this to the local club but suspect that many of them are closet TrUS junkies. Grandkids you know.

Hey I keep a AH Bipe in my office at work. Fly it most days agains another one of the guys in the fire house, trying knock each other out of the air! We have a blast every time.

I also keep on charged up in the garage at home and fly out in the backyard whenever I can for a quick fix!

Haven't messed with the jet yet, the Bipe works great for me.

Yeah... I'm a closet TRUS junkie too!

Our selection at the local WallyWorld is sparse at best.

I'm going to look for a three chnl to fly with my grndsons when they visit. We did try a skyfly but the trim with fishingline and rubberband returns is a nightmare, but for the present these will do.
I flew the Target jet in 5 to 7mph winds. it got so high so quick I just about lost it. This thing doesn't need a lot of throttle!

No, the bipe came from LHS. TrUS is supposed to have it bu my local didn't. The mini xp(that iI bought from TrUS) flys great. TrUS has a sngle prop with rudder, controlled withmagnet. I thought that this would be a great idea but it didn't fly well, and can hndl no wind.

The jet style Air Hog is only at Target(as far as I know)

There are 3 of the Air Hog Jets at my local Kmart although I actually bought mine at Walmart.

The Bipe I bought didn't fly well, so I gutted it and built the AA Glider (the first on on this page: http://75.88.174.11:9997/aa_prop_plans.html) out of a meat tray, a Styrofoam plate and a balsa stick. Now, this thing flies great. Flies level at minimum throttle and climbs at half throttle. Flying time is around 10 minutes.

You haven't seen these? They are everywhere around here. Have been for a long time. Target had 'em on sale a time or two for 12 bucks a shot. I bought everyone of them they had once and my son takes them to all the birthday parties he goes to... great gifts!

Can't find those AH Bipes here in the UK either although there are varoius others. I bought my son one but had to add some weight to the nose to stop it porpoising. Once that was done found it great fun, although not in any sort of wind !

The Aero Ace and the Havoc are "rare gems in a sea of crap" in that price range. I was very reluctant to buy something that cheap, but I'm glad I did. I keep it in the car, just in case some kids show up while I'm flying at the park or something. They usually can't fly it, but they have fun powering it up and throwing it across the grass... it's pretty much indestructible, and it doesn't hurt when it hits people. Target used to have them here, but they seem to be totally gone from the shelves... we searched all the stores for one for my brother's birthday and couldn't find it anywhere. The Havoc Heli is another one that I really like... it flies inside really well.

Just flew X-TWIN. What a flyer out of the box. This was my first flight in no wind. I didn't have to tweek a thing, it just flew. My grandkids will love it. I have to buy 2 more.

The Target that's close to me has a bunch of Air Hogs merchandise in stock normally. Lately, however, I haven't seen the bipe.

If you're willing to spend a few extra bucks, you could check out Ebay. The first blue bipe that popped up was this one.

Of course they are... They work too well and last too long!

I've still got the original one we bought from over 2 years ago... How do they expect to make any money if they make things that don't break!!!:p

Incidentally, that is the same reason they quit making the VW Bug...

I haven't seen the bipes around here anymore either. I've had two of them for over a year and they're still going. I was just in Toys R Us Sunday and they didn't have any. They do show 3 different colored Aero Aces on their web site.

Have any of you seen the Skyforce planes or tried them? I bought the glider version Sunday for my son and they actually fly freeflight very well. You can also buy them in an RC version that comes with two planes in it.

From the sounds of it they may be a good investment then Fred... Seems like no one else is able to find them.
