If it turns out to be a brushless motor, which I sincerely doubt, I'll get it.
I don't need any more profile foamies right now but it never hurts to keep a few extras in the basement rafters. |

I'd offer to pick one up for you and ship it to you for a few bucks cheaper, but with the 9.75% local sales tax rate, I don't know that it'd be worth it.

Sure had my heart set on that $19.00 plane. I read about it last night but it didn't go on sale till 9AM today. When I logged on at 12PM to buy it it was all sold out.
Guess I have to set the alarm clock next time a deal like that comes along!!

Actually the Yak 55 foamys are on sale for 16.90. I've had a couple, and they are fun to fly. Probably be better off with one of those

<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=2 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD> ![]() </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE> PINK VIPER! 37" long, 28" wingspan, 19-3/4 oz. flying weight. Comes pre-painted in the colors of the "Diamondbacks" of VFA-102. Water slide decals already applied. Flies like a much larger jet and handles the wind well. The Ready-to-Fly (RTF) version comes complete with everything you need including a 72 MHz transmitter, 6-channel receiver, ducted fan unit, brushless motor, 20 Amp brushless speed controller, and an 18C 3 cell 1300 mAh Lipo battery pack. The Almost-Ready-to-Fly (ARF) version comes with everything listed above except the transmitter and 6-channel receiver. The jet has plenty of power for rolls, loops, and inverted flight. Comes with steerable nose gear. Take-offs are short and landings are slow and easy. All electronics come pre-installed, no soldering required. Assembly takes about an hour to glue the wings, tail and nose to the fuselage with epoxy, screw the fixed main landing gear to the fuselage, install the servo horns to the ailerons and elevator, and connect the control linkages. Kit comes with illustrated instruction booklet. Recommended for intermediate pilots. Flight times of up to 6 minutes can be expected. Controls are Ailerons, Elevator, and Throttle. And for every plane bought during the crash sale, they will donate a portion of the sale to a cancer foundation.
Good on you HL |

I notice that the RTF has a tx and rx for only $20 more than the ARF. Do you suppose it's in 72 band? What about channel designation?
I've used up the model memories on my two transmitters and it might be a good idea to have an extra radio. Even if it's a cheapie. |

The regular product listing (http://www.hobby-lobby.com/hornet.htm) says it comes with a 72Mhz radio and 6-channel receiver.
My Blue Angels version should be arriving at my doorstep today for $174 after tax and free shipping.

I built the kit for my first plane and got it from aerocraftrc.com [I think they kit them for hobby lobby]. I think it was $29.

Thanks guys good find.
If I can not get one at Perry, I will order this one. I wonder why they do not carry the Telemaster 40 Kit. |
