I see Hobby Lobby also has a "7x5" sale going on: http://www.hobby-lobby.com/7x5-wk1.htm
Polyquest lipos on sale this week. Still kinda pricey compared to eBay or Hobbycity. Good batteries though. |

I've noticed that some of the items they list in the Crash Sale, eventually end up in the Bargain Bin for even less. The pink F-18 for example is now $10 less than it was in Crash Sale.

C'mon tom.....
Even though they did something good for breast cancer, its prob hard for some guys to own a pink plane. If your secure enough in your manhood it should be no problem..... or you can just paint it

Has anyone who bought the Ikarus Pitts S1-S last month finished building it yet? Mine is almost ready to fly! Just have to get the prop, ESC and battery attached and it will be good to go.
Not sure what my AUW is, but I think its on the heavy side. I didn't use the included brushed motor, so hopefully the extra power of the outrunner will make up for it. |

Did anybody buy the $15 helicopter? I couldn't find any useful info on it but I looked at the little video and thought it would be worth the three fins.
Now, I realize you get what you pay for but I bought a tiny rtf heli at Toledo for $15 and I've had a ball with it. So we'll see. I noticed it sold out pretty quick so someone knows something. Any Wattflyers bite? |

I bought the $15 heli. It will be my first Heli. What they don't tell you though, is that you need a specific made-by-Ikarus-only "Piccoboard"........ Which is $79 and " AVAILABLE SOON"

Well that piccoboard business is certainly a drag. I guess I just figured I'd only have to supply the usual stuff,e.g. servos, rx, esc, and battery. And I already have that stuff laying around. But I can see that the tail rotor uses a separate motor and I guess you need the "board" to plug both motors into the esc.
Like vax, this is my first heli and I can see I've got a lot of reading up to do. Rush, thanks for steering us to a cheaper board. Any issues adapting the allerc board? If I use a brushless motor, will I also have to use brushless in the tail? I don't think they make one that small. |
