Those look like the Hobby City clones-not very good. Anyone got any real world experience?
Best clones I've found come from DonsRC.com. They do work, about 1/2 the "real" price. |

If you're going to learn to fly them, you have to learn to fix them. |

There was a guy at our filed with some of those and they would just fall out of the real deans plug. Barely made any contact at all. I wouldn't fly with them.

sorry Steve.:o Didn't mean to worry you.
I tried my battery in his plane and couldn't get it to power up turned it over and the battery fell out. put them together and they just slipped on and off real easy like... Maybe he just got a bad batch and the rest are ok...

Might be a compatibility problem also. As long as you stay with ONE BRAND, maybe that'll work. Mixing might be where the trouble starts.

Same here. I had a crash caused by the failure of a phony Deans. I have also had compatibility issues where the phony plug either was loose in the genuine socket or would not go in at all.
The real thing for me please. I like my planes too much to lose them over the cost of a cup of coffee. Sadly RC fliers are amongst the cheapest so-n-so's I know which is why junk like these knock-offs get into our parts boxes. |

I use both the 'real' Deans as well as the T plugs from UH with no compatability or fit problems. Just make sure you never over heat either type during soldering as this leads to failures every time.
Just my $0.02

well, a better deal is this; you can get either 10 SETS of deans connectors for $3.85 w/ free shipping, or even better, you can get 50 SETS of deans connectors for $16.62 and free shipping. Both f them include heat shrink
