Also, I set the wheels pants over the wheels, and it really does make the plane look so cool with them on!
I think I am just going to do the first flight or two without them, and then put them on! |

Motor did not come today
 Oh well, it is going to be stormy this weekend, so I could not fly it anyway. BTW, I know the plane looks kinda orange in the pics, but that is just from the lighting in the room, and my crappy camera! It is actually something like a fire truck red! |

OK, I am finished! Now just waiting for the wind to calm down, and this thing will hit the skies! I doubt I will video the maiden, just because there would not be much worth watching on the maiden flight. I promise I will get a good video of it soon though! |

Well, I had a very good successful maiden!
Was not really able to find out what all it would do because of the wind. Not sure how windy it was, but every time I landed( I landed about 5 times, just to put a little expo on the ailerons, or check temps, etc) and every time it landed with ZERO ground speed, just set right down. It really is a floater! Does not tip-stall if you get it too slow, just dips the nose down. Was not able to get a good hover in because of the wind. Rolling harriers are great, no rudder input needed. No KE coupling that I could tell. I am not sure how long I was flying, but it had to be between 10-15 minutes! After I landed I checked the motor, ESC, and battery. Motor, and battery felt the same as when I put them in the plane. ESC got a little warm, but that was it! Will fly around at just about 3/8 throttle! A ton of power(using an APC 12x6). Taxis very well even in grass! Will be able to tell more once the wind calms down! |

Nice job....I just picked up a green one . Hope to get er put together this weekend. I using a Torque motor, Tbird 54 , and A park BEC.....probably overkill but Im using a spectrum ar6200 and didnt want to take a chance of a reboot condition. This plane is so cool

B.....ump.
Hows people loving their Extra 260's ? I'm stuck between the PA Katana MD and this for my Christmas prezzie (that the wife WILL buy me !). I've spent nearly a year flying a mpx Gemini and want to improve my aerobatic skills further by flying a true 3D plane. |

Its a very good plane....I still have mine but Im selling it to a friend. Its very easy to fly and very floaty. Its not the best plane for windy conditions due to its light weight .Ive moved on to other 3d planes that suit my flying style better and can handle more wind.

Thanks for the heads up Headmaster. Could I ask which other 3D planes you prefer over the Extra ? I too suffer with wind...lol....here in the UK and also pretty rough grass to land on, so the U/C would have to be sturdy
