Default All Things That Fly Podcast

http://www.allthingsthatfly.com

I thought it was time we started a thread here on WattFlyer. We have been lazy and haven't reached out to any other forums, so I figured it was time to do so.

GFBurke, JustplaneChris and myself host the show and it can be found on our site or you can get it through iTunes. We typically release one show a week and should be releasing episode #50 this week! We discuss basically all things dealing with RC flight. We have had guest on from Castle Creations, Ritewing RC, Millenium RC, Light Flight RC, GoBrushless.com and Don's RC just to name a few.

We have plans for a few more cool guests in the near future as well as some shows dedicated to building, and some specific models of electric planes.

So please join us along with other listeners to discuss the show content and general RC chat. We really don't have a topic to maintain here, so anything RC and some non RC discussion is more than welcomed.

We also have an all Heli show called InsideHeli.
You can subscribe via iTunes, download directly and RSS feeds are also available.

You can also get random updates on what we are into on Twitter.
You can add: ATTFJamie , ATTFDiggs , ATTFChris and ATTFJames to follow.

Thanks, and give it a listen.

Hey Diggs, thanks for starting the thread! As he mentioned, we also have InsideHeli, which was gone for a while but is now back! James "Sparx" is my co-host there, so if you like helis (nitro or electric) be sure and drop by for a listen.

Good idea. I am following the RCG thread religiously, but I spend most of my time here on Wattflyer. Thanks for putting a thread here.

I REALLY want to hear an interview with Flying Monkey. I do not know what he can bring to the table, but 75% of the stuff he talks about makes my laugh. If you ever have a show where youplan to talk about nothing, make sure Flying Monkey calls in.

Didn't Jerry Seinfeld have something like that a while back?

I think we have done several shows on that topic already and I am sure there will be many more . I agree, the Monkey needs to be on a show soon. Tomorrow is kinda just us since we are celebrating # 50, kind of a milestone, but I bet we can fit him in. We have talked about it before and need to just do it.

I love the episodes about nothing. Honestly those are the most entertaining, for me.

Thanks to you guys my wife says I have reached a new level of RC nerdome!

I have been listing for weeks now and love the show. It's good to hear people talk about what they do and don't like product wise and not sugar coat stuff like some magazines.

Any of you listeners out there E-Flite Tribute FX owners? I bought another one at SEFF and on the second flight the landing gear ripped out on a nice landing on tall grass. I love the plane, but JEEZ, that thing is fragile!! I did nothing wrong and now I have no landing gear and a big rip in the foam and I doubt I can ever install the LG in it again due to the way the balsa collapsed.

So, I will fly it as a belly lander now, but any suggestions on actually using LG on this plane? It flies so well I have to have it, but it frustrates me so. It is the most unforgiving plane I have owned to date, but did I mention it flies great!?!?!

Thanks as always,

I must give credit where it is due. ATTF is the brain child of GFBurke and if it is anyones podcast, it is his . He busts major booty behind the scenes and really makes it all happen. I am just smoke and mirrors . Then JPC weighs in with his years of experience. All I have is a bunch of retention of massive forum reading compared to that dude . I am lucky to be part of the team. Thanks, and glad you enjoy the show!!

Ah man! My trader feed back is frik'n 0!! Can I import?

O somebody has to have the talent and somebody has to be webish savvy. Hey, that reminds me, we are on twitter

In order to do live calls or to have interjection during live broadcast in the future, I have setup Twitter in order to get news and messages out to listeners.

If we are running late on a release, you will know. If we need another guest to talk too, you will know . If we need a quick idea or answer to something we don't know, maybe you can help - etc.

Don't use the webpage to watch and tweet, but Try twhirl or
snitter or twitterfox for firefox for XP or twitterific for OSX. Does work with growl mac users!

But Here is a full list of the notification software for mobile phones, Windows, linux, etc. (Click on 'see more..' if you don't like that first one).

You can add: ATTFJamie , ATTFDiggs , ATTFChris and ATTFJames to follow

So was it time to leave the field? Snapped this with the Cell while pulling out of the church parking lot.

Thanks guys. My wife thanks you also. I finally got to listen to episode 50 and got the grass cut. Granted I had to wait until 830PM to do it because of the heat, but she thanks you

ATTF dudes. I just saw this on HobbyCity's website.
All Loong-Max batteries are now relabeled as 'Zippy-k'. This has been done to protect distributor pricing on the 'Loong-max'. We will update our images as soon as we have time.
If you purchase a Loong Max and an Zippy-k arrives, please do not be alarmed, only the sticker is different.

Granted I buy mine from Value hobby as GeForce, but wanted to pass this along.

Kev, I use an iPod and go through iTunes, so I can not help you. Sorry

Do you all know the differences in the Zippy brands. For instance, they have Zippy, Zippy-H, Zippy-K (which now I know Loong Max), Zippy- R (which apparently is made in Korea).

If you all know which batts are what, I would appreciate it.
